Rules and Procedures

TIMESHEET BOOKING PROCEDURE FOR WEEKENDS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

  1. The time sheet is open for booking on Fridays at 4:30 pm for golf games on the Saturday and Sunday of the following weekend and the public holidays in the week after that weekend.
  2. Members who wish to make bookings must obtain a queue number from the Golf Reception. Queue numbers will be issued between 3.30pm and 4.30pm. No proxy is allowed. Membership cards must be produced upon request by Club officials. Principal members and spouse members may each obtain a queue number.
  3. Queue numbers will be called in sequence for members to make bookings. Each queue number is allowed to book only 1 flight. Any member who misses their turn and/or any member who wishes to book another flight must rejoin the queue.
  4. Between 4:30 pm on Friday and 11:00 am on Saturday, priority will be given to members who make bookings in person at the Golfing Reception. No proxy is allowed. Membership card must be produced upon request by Club officials.
  5. Members may also make bookings by facsimile to the Golfing Section at Fax: 6861 5563 only. Such bookings will only be attended to after 11:00 am on Saturdays and they will be allocated the slots available. Faxed bookings should not be sent to the Administration office.
  6. All bookings must be made on the prescribed forms, obtainable at the Golfing Reception. Members booking by facsimile may use photo-copies of the form. Only one slot per facsimile page will be accepted. Faxed forms with more than one slot of players or if not faxed on prescribed forms will be rejected.
  7. All forms must be completed in full in capital letters. All names and membership numbers must be clearly written and legible and signed by the member making the booking. Any forms that are incomplete or illegibly written may be rejected by the Club.
  8. Between 4:30 pm on Fridays and 10:00 am on Sundays, one member can book one slot. Each slot must have a minimum of 3 players who must be members.
  9. For slots booked during this period, members in the slot can be replaced by other players who are members without penalty.
  10. If there are 4 members in the slot at the time of booking, and they are replaced with guests, a penalty of $50 each will be levied for the 2nd and 3rd replacement with guests (subject to a minimum of 1 member per slot).
  11. If there are 3 members in the slot at the time of booking and the 4th player, who is added after the restricted period, is a guest, a penalty of $50 each will be levied for every replacement of the members with guests (subject to a minimum of 1 member per slot).
  12. The penalties will be debited to the account of the member who booked the slot. The Captain may, under special circumstances allow members to be substituted by guests without penalty.
  13. Members who wish to book slots with guests can do so from 10:00 am on Sundays. Slots can be booked personally at the Golfing Counter, by facsimile or by telephone to the Golf Receptionist.
  14. For slots booked during this period, members can be substituted by guests without penalty, subject to the minimum of one member per slot.
  15. For weekends/public holidays, members may book and introduce up to a maximum of three guests.
  16. Guests are not permitted on Saturday afternoons except with the prior approval of the Captain.
  17. Members must play with their guests. In the event that the member is unable to play, his guests may be refused play.
  18. In the event that the guests are allowed to play, the member will be charged a penalty of $90 and the guests will be charged at visitor's rate green fees to be debited to the member's account. The member may also be barred from booking on time sheet for a period of time to be decided by the Golfing Sub-Committee.
  19. Each flight must have a minimum of three players during time sheet. A penalty of $30 will be debited to the account of the member making the booking for every player short of three. Flights with less than 3 players will lose their turn and can only tee off at the end of the time sheet subject to a minimum of 2 players.
  20. The onus is on the member to ensure that there is no multiple booking by the same group of players and that all members/players have the correct handicap index for play.
  21. In any 3-ball flight booked, the member who made the booking must check with the Club whether the vacancy for the 4th-ball still exists before committing an additional player.
  22. The Club shall have the power to slot in players to fill any vacancy in a slot or any vacant slot. Any golfer whose name is not on the time sheet may not play on the course if the vacancy has been filled.
  23. Members who wish to cancel a flight must give written notice or inform by facsimile or in person at least 48 hours before the scheduled time of play, otherwise a penalty of $150 shall be debited to the account of the member who made the booking for every late cancellation of slot.
  24. Members who breach any of the above procedures or commit any of the following shall be deemed to have committed a golfing violation and shall be reported to the Golfing Sub-Committee:
    1. failing to play with the guests unless approved by Captain.
    2. same group of players making multiple bookings, and repeated cancellations of some or all thereafter within the prescribed period.
    3. booking of multiple sessions on the same day or weekend and repeated cancellations within the prescribed period.
    4. repeated cancellations each week for slots booked without acceptable excuse;
    5. no show of all/any of the players in the slot.
    6. repeated changes to the composition of the players in the slot or interchanging with other slots.
    7. repeated substitution of a guest for a member.
